The Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, marks the transition from one animal to the next—2022 is the Year of the Tiger, which began on February 1st, 2022, and ends on January 21st, 2023. January 22, 2023 (Chinese New Year) will signal the start of the Year of the Water Rabbit.

Chinese Astrology is usually taken as a good luck charm by many. There are 12 animals that are assigned to each year of the lunar calendar in Chinese Astrology, and they represent the 12 years of life. The animal which falls under your birth year is referred to as the ruling animal, while the others are known as subsidiary animals.

Investing and finance will not be worry-free in the coming year, unfortunately. The Goat should stay away from high-risk investment schemes, or avoid the markets altogether—the environment is just too volatile right now.

Although students may feel alienated by their friends for a time, the alliances will shift quickly in 2023. This provides an opportunity—in disguise. Don’t worry about figuring out who you are too early; take your time, and enjoy the ride.

Even those without insurance are advised to go see a doctor at the first sign of trouble. Don’t think it’ll go away, so you might as well save some money. That’s not a smart idea in 2023! Small discomfort can really snowball into a serious disease if you’re not careful. Please don’t forget that this year.

GOAT: In 2023, the Goat's health will remain generally stable if they continue to exercise and eat well. This isn’t the year to go in for extreme sports, or anything that could pose serious injuries to your body. Think yoga or jogging—something liberating and meditative will suit you well this year.

To avoid any unnecessary conflict, it would be best if you stayed away from fire. Avoiding barbecues and conflicts at home or in the workplace is also a good idea; your uncharacteristic temper flares may surprise those around you—even though it doesn't happen very often.

MONKEY: In 2023 the Monkey's health should be stable, although there may be some trouble in his or her professional life. The best advice is to work hard when necessary and rest otherwise.

It can be difficult to make time for friends when you’re feeling down, but spending time with people who love and care about you will help elevate your mood. If you do not let your negative emotions out, they could build up and land you in the hospital for depression by year’s end. Instead express frustration or fears either verbally or through exercise—letting off steam will help prevent a breakdown.
